Student Dress Expectations

Middle school is a time when students are discovering who they are, and clothing is often one of the ways they express that individuality. At LRTA, we encourage students to show their personal style in a way that is still smart, safe, and ready for learning. Dressing appropriately is not about limiting expression—it’s about making choices that support focus, safety, and respect in a school environment where students are active, moving between classes, participating in PE, and engaging in hands-on learning.
When students dress with intention, they are showing that they are prepared for the day ahead. Clothing should allow for comfort and movement, avoid distractions like excessive jewelry, and reflect respect for self and others by avoiding inappropriate language or images. Following school expectations also helps students demonstrate responsibility and pride in representing themselves and LRTA. With the right balance, students can still express their individuality while being safe, respectful, prepared, and ready to learn every day.
