Baltimore County Public Schools support the philosophy that a quality interscholastic athletic program is vital to the positive social, emotional, physical, and educational development of students. The interscholastic athletic program enhances and supports the mission of the school system to increase student achievement.

  • Badminton
  • Cross Country

Winter Sports – Begin in November

Spring Sports – Begin in March

  • Allied Softball
  • Track & Field
  • Tennis

A student would be deemed ineligible to participate on an interscholastic sports team if they meet ANY of the criteria listed below:

a. Earning less than a 2.0 GPA or more than one failing, incomplete, or medical grade in the preceding quarter.
Fall academic eligibility is determined by the fourth quarter grading period from the preceding year. This provision does not apply to incoming sixth grade students for initial fall eligibility.

b. Students who are 15 years old or older as of August 31 are ineligible to participate in the middle school interscholastic athletic program.

c. Failure to complete all of the paperwork distributed by the coach which includes the Athletic Permit and Pre-Participation Physical Form which are located on this page as well.

Certificate-bound students are academically ineligible if they have more than one failing grade for the quarter; GPA is not a factor.
