Needs Assessment Priorities

Loch Raven Technical Academy is a Community School!

CSF

What is a Community School?

A Community School is more than a school - it's a hub for student success and family support. Through a data-driven approach, we identify needs, remove barriers, and offer programs and resources that strengthen learning, wellness, and community connection.

LRTA School Year 2024-2025 Needs Assessment Priorities:

Based on our Year 1 Needs Assessment, Loch Raven Technical Academy is focusing on the following three priorities. These goals drive all Community School programs, partnerships, and initiatives this school year:

1. Strengthening student, family and community connections
2. Reducing chronic absenteeism (school and class attendance)
3. Minimizing disruptions to the learning environment

To address these needs, we're introducing and supporting programs such as:

  • After-school tutoring and sports
  • PBIS/SEL rewards and incentives
  • Family engagement and enrichment events
