Hello LRTA Family! I’m Brandon Myers, and I’m excited to serve the Loch Raven Technical Academy community as Dean of School Progress and the Title I Math Coach. As a proud Parkville native and BCPS alum, I’m thrilled to give back to the community that shaped me.
As Dean of School Progress, I play a key role in strengthening instructional quality at LRTA by collaborating closely with department chairs and our staff development teacher to ensure that all educators deliver high-quality instruction every day. I also work directly with our MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) resource teacher and School Safety Assistants to promote a positive and supportive school climate for all students. In addition, I oversee LRTA's comprehensive Title I program, serving as the Title I Math Coach where I provide data-driven support and instructional coaching to math teachers working with identified Title I students.
My educational credentials include a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with a Minor in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University, a Masters of Science in Mathematics Education and an Administrator I Certificate both from Towson University. I am also working on my Doctorate of Education in Instructional Technology from Liberty University.
My professional journey in education began in 2012 and I have served in both middle and high schools in roles such as Mathematics Teacher, Mathematics Department Chair, Early College Program Coordinator, Dean of School Progress, Title I Math Coach, and Acting Assistant Principal. I have also had the opportunity to serve as the Director of Digital Learning for Goucher College for 3 years during this time as well.
In my personal life, I enjoy golfing, binge-watching Netflix, traveling, and serving as an adjunct college professor at various colleges including UMBC, Goucher College, Notre Dame, and Loyola University.
I’m eager to collaborate with all of you and champion the success of every student at LRTA! Let’s make this an amazing year together!!
