A native of Stamford, Connecticut, Ms. Straub came to Maryland in 1999 to attend Towson University and has proudly called Baltimore County home ever since. She began her educational career as a special educator at Dundalk Middle School and has dedicated over 20 years to Baltimore County Public Schools, with the last seven years serving as an Assistant Principal.
Ms. Straub holds a Master’s degree in Education of At-Risk Youth from Goucher College and an Administrator I certification from Notre Dame of Maryland University.
With exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, Ms. Straub helps foster a learning environment that is both structured and person-centered. She cares about each child’s growth and well-being, and her ability to connect with the school community plays a vital role in shaping the culture at LRTA.
Outside of school, Ms. Straub enjoys a full and joyful life. She is happily married and the proud mother of her young son, Hank. In her free time, she loves playing softball, cycling, and gardening.
Ms. Straub is a valued member of the LRTA leadership team, and we are grateful for the care, competence, and positivity she brings to our community every day.
