We have been truly encouraged and excited by the increased involvement of LRA parents so far this year! We had the biggest turn out ever for a PTSA Executive Board Meeting in September, and we have had many parents step up to volunteer and take on chairperson positions. This is shaping up to be a terrific year!

A special thanks to families of Meghan Jenkins, Karen Mussman, Clare Bollard, and Lars Anderson, as well as Ms. Nelson, Ms. Meckel, Ms. Gantz, and Mrs. Wilson for coming out on a Saturday morning to work in the dirt. We accomplished a lot during our first Courtyard Beautification Day, but there is still more to do. We hope to schedule another day in October so we can finish the job. Please look out for the date and join us!
October is a busy month! The LRA PTSA will sponsor a Halloween Dance on October 24th from 6:30- 8:30. Students are encouraged to dress in costume! We will have a DJ, as well as costume and dessert contests; the gym will be open for basketball. Pizza, sodas, and snacks will be served. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets must be purchased in school and will be on sale from 7:45-8:15, October 20th to the 23rd in front of the office. Tickets are_$4.00 for PTSA members and $6.00for non-members. Our Joe Corbi’s Pizza and Cookie Dough Fundraiser starts October 13th. Fundraiser letters and order sheets will be sent home with students. Please contact a PTSA representative if you need one. Money and orders will be collected the mornings of October 28, 29, and 30th. Pizza will be delivered November 14th in front of the school.
